About Me

Western U.S., United States
I sometimes enter contests, I work, I have a teenage daughter (Ms. Money Pit) who loves to spend my pay checks... I love a bargain and adore the challenge of digging around in thrift/secondhand stores. There's always a treasure buried in the chaos!

OH, NOES!!!!

Another place to feed my addition!

Sweeps4Bloggers is featuring a giveaway by New York Design Shop which requires going to the site and looking around. To quote George Takei, "Oh, MY!" The shop is not only a store, but it has really cute fashion DIY projects. If you know me, that is like waving catnip under a kitten's nose. I have already ticked off a few projects to work up.  :)

Now winning the tote bag with the DIY goodies would be icing on the cake!

Cutest little thumb drives

Sweeps4Bloggers is sponsoring a giveaway of the most adorable little 4GB USB drive, the GiddyUp edition of the Mimobot drives.

The artwork on this drive is so pretty, I would ALMOST be afraid to use it. But I would because I am looking for a drive to convert to a bootable OS dongle. Yeah, too much tech talk, right?

Gathering My Roses

I have to sing the praises of this giveaway site.

There is always something interesting over there and today it is MBT "anti-shoes". These are another version of the rocker-sole style shoes that are being recommended for getting an extra "kick" (yeah, bad pun) out of the normal walking experience.

I'm not sure if they would be practical on ladders (part of my job requires going up those evil things), but they would be great the rest of the day.

Jolly clogs

I entered Sweeps4Bloggers' contest to win a pair of Jolly clogs. I used to wear them all the time in Europe and would love to have a pair to switch off with my Crocs.

Something everyone with a teenager could use

Over at Sweeps4Bloggers, they are giving away a cool little gadget called an XShot camera extender. If you have ever watched a teenager taking those extended-arm pictures they are so fond of, you can see where the inspiration might have come from. Anyway, check the sidebar and head on over.
